§ Mr. George HowarthA letter was sent to Chief Fire Officers on 11 January 1999 which advised them on developments in the strategy for replacing fire service main scheme radio systems, including possible take-up of the Public Safety Radio Communications project. The proposals had previously been agreed by the Central Fire Brigades Advisory Council at its meeting on 17 November 1998. I have placed a copy of the letter in the Library.
