§ Mr. TimmsFrom April 1999 we are introducing a £2.5 billion package of measures to help tackle pensioner poverty over the next three years. This package includes a minimum income guarantee, delivered through income support, for the poorest pensioners and an annual payment towards winter fuel costs for all eligible pensioner households.
