§ Mr. MichaelI have received no representations in response to my announcement that the Arts Council's grant in aid for 1999–2000 will increase by 3.1 per cent. to £14.8 million. This is the first increase given to the Arts Council since 1995–96.
In future this will become the responsibility of the National Assembly.
