HC Deb 21 December 1999 vol 341 cc562-3W
Kali Mountford

To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport what representations he has received about refunds for television licence stamps already purchased by people aged over 75 years. [103637]

Kate Hoey

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport has received 12 letters from Members of the House of Commons and seven from members of the public about refunds of television licence savings stamps purchased by people aged 75 or over. Any television licence savings stamps not required to purchase a licence can be redeemed, by post, from TV Licensing. We intend to announce full details of the scheme, including the precise starting date, early in the new year.
