§ Jane KennedyJudicial training is the responsibility of the Judicial Studies Board (JSB) which is an independent non-departmental public body and is chaired by Lord Justice Waller.
Between January and July 2000 the JSB will be holding a series of 58 one-day seminars on the Human Rights Act 1998 and the European Convention on Human Rights for all judges (including those who sit part-time) from District Judge level to the Court of Appeal.
In addition the JSB is holding a series of after-court seminars at the Royal Courts of Justice for the senior judiciary. The first of these seminars was held in May 1999 and the series will continue during 2000.
