§ Mr. BattleThe United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor (UNTAET), which will have overall responsibility for administration and security in the territory, continues to deploy. The handover from the International Force for East Timor (INTERFET) to UNTAET's Peace-Keeping operation will take place as soon as possible taking into account conditions on the ground.
