§ Lord Hunt of Kings HeathIt is not known exactly how many girls are subjected to female genital mutilation in the United Kingdom as it is rarely reported to the authorities. We are extremely concerned that this practice is stopped and were a case to be reported we would expect it to be thoroughly and sensitively investigated by the relevant authorities.
