§ Mr. MeacherI am pleased to be able to inform the House that the Management Statement has been issued to the Countryside Agency today. The Statement describes the relationship between the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions and the Agency, sets out the role and status of the Agency and covers its accountability to Parliament. It also contains information on the role and responsibilities of the Chairman, Board and Chief Executive, and briefly describes the Agency's organisation.
A copy of the Statement has today been placed in the Libraries of both Houses.
