§ Ms Glenda JacksonStaff at the Crosby centre were kept informed about its future in the months prior to March 1998 by their line management, and relocations to neighbouring test centres in the event of Crosby closing were discussed. On 10 March 1998, the Driving Standards Agency's Northern Area Deputy Manager wrote to staff at the Crosby test centre. The note confirmed oral briefings the staff had already received from their local Supervising Examiner and provided an update about the imminent expiry of the lease on the centre at the end of March.
