§ The Prime MinisterIn October 1997 my right hon. In total over 100 individuals and representative organisations were consulted in producing the outline national changeover plan.

The organisations represented on the BAG are the Institute of Directors, Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Council for Travel and Tourism, British Bankers' Association, Association of Payment Clearing Services, British Retail Consortium, Confederation of British Industry, Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accounting, Trades Union Congress, Consumers' Association, British Chamber of Commerce, Association of Corporate Treasurers, Computer Services and Software Association, Bank of England, Association of British Insurers, Building Societies Association, Forum of Private Business, Federation of Small Businesses, Law Society, Engineering Employers' Federation, Hundred Group of Finance Directors.
