§ Baroness Symons of Vernham DeanThe G8 is currently discussing the disposal of excess Russian weapons grade plutonium. Conversion into mixed oxide fuel (MOX) for reactors is the favoured solution. We and the Japanese are taking part in these discussions. Therefore it would not be appropriate for us to make any representations to the Japanese Government on this subject.
