§ Ms Glenda JacksonThe Answer to which reference is made announced preparation by the Government of a comprehensive ports policy paper, and a consultation paper including an invitation to comment. Details of the measures the Government will take on accountability and other key issues will be in that policy paper which will be issued later this year. These will not be limited to trust ports, although they have special obligations, but will cover company-owned ports such as Newhaven.
