§ Mr. BanksFurther to my previous answer on this issue on 17 November 1998,Official Report, columns 450–51, responsibility for personal injury insurance for club members rests with the clubs themselves. The Football Association has established a Constitution Working Group which, among other things, is looking into insurance relating to football. A number of County FAs are already working closely with insurance companies to develop personal injury insurance schemes on a corporate basis for their affiliated clubs, and I understand that two County FAs have put in a statutory personal accident requirement for teams in their leagues. These are welcome developments.
