§ Dr. Jack Cunningham[pursuant to his reply, 31 July 1998, c. 647–48]: I regret that a previous reply was misleading in two respects. It showed the percentage of letters from members of the public replied to within the target date by the Ministry of Defence as 96 per cent. when it should have read 86 per cent. The total volume of letters received by the Department for Social Security read 32,618 when it should have read 32,168. The table shows the performance of all Departments and their Agencies with these amendments made.
