§ Mr. WilsonThe financial support provided by my Department under the Trade Fair Support Scheme (TFSS) to companies attending the Paris Air Show 97 and IDEF 97 is as follows:

The then President of the Board of Trade, the Minister for Energy and Industry and the Permanent Secretary attended the Paris Air Show 97; in addition 22 DTI Officials also attended at an approximate total cost of £12,000. My Department has been unable to identify a record of any DTI Ministers or Officials attending any of the other listed events.
