§ Mr. BoatengAn extra £400 million will be made available to the new opportunities fund (NOF) between now and 2001 to be spent on cancer prevention, treatment and care; green spaces and sustainable communities; and community access to lifelong learning. A consultation paper setting out the new NOF initiatives will be published in the next few weeks before Parliamentary approval of the initiatives is sought. Decisions on funding will be taken once the consultation is completed.
