§ Mr. BanksThe British Olympic Association, who have ultimate responsibility for UK bids for the Olympic Games, have decided that the next UK bid should be London-based. Like the BOA, the Government are determined that any bid should be of the highest possible quality. My Department is already working closely with the BOA who are conducting comprehensive studies on what is already in place and what needs to be in place to mount a winnable bid at the earliest possible opportunity.
