§ Mrs. LiddellSignificant resources are being made available for study support in Scotland. In the three years from April 1999, the New Opportunities Fund will commit a total of £23 million and the Government will provide new resources of £27 million as part of the recently announced Excellence Fund to support out of school hours learning activities.
In addition, we are giving The Prince's Trust—Action grant of £40,000 this financial year. The grant will support the development of networking arrangements to share ideas and good practice on study support and the dissemination of a CD ROM. The support arrangements will include regional seminars later this year.
