Whether, in preparing to reform the common agricultural policy, they have commissioned any studies of the effect on the New Zealand rural economy of the withdrawal of all agricultural subsidies; if not, why not; and if so, whether they propose to publish the results. [HL3337]

What are the corresponding genetically modified release consents in respect of each of the national

Zealand experience are available. In particular, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has published such an assessment in Agricultural Policy Reform and the Rural Economy in OECD Countries (OECD, 1998). There has been no need for the Government to commission additional studies.
