§ Dr. ReidWe have received representations seeking clarification of the detrunking proposals, in particular resource transfers and timing. Concern has been expressed about detrunking certain routes, but we have also had some informal indications from local highway authorities of a willingness to take over routes proposed for detrunking. Officials have recently held constructive discussions with the Local Government Association about the proposals and there will be further consultations with the Association and individual local highway authorities.
