To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions what measures he intends to take to equalise rent levels between housing association and local authority housing. [54346]

In his statement on Housing and Regeneration Policy on 22 July, my right hon. Friend the Deputy Prime Minister said thatno decision has yet been reached on rent policy in the longer term".

That remains the position.
