§ Ms Glenda JacksonThere has been no recent discussion with EU colleagues on the occupational safety of fishermen. A number of regulations which implement EC health and safety directives, including the Merchant and Fishing Vessel; (Health and Safety at Work) Regulations 1997, are already in force. Further regulations will be introduced later this year.
