HC Deb 19 October 1998 vol 317 c900W
Mr. Key

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions what funds he will make available for integrated transport and environmental schemes as part of the Salisbury Transport Study in(a) the current financial year, (b) 1999–2000 and (c) 2000–01. [55297]

Ms Glenda Jackson

An allocation of £250,000 was provided for 1998–99 for capital transport expenditure within the Salisbury package area. For 1999–2000, a bid of £2.844 million has been made by Wiltshire County Council for the Salisbury package, as part of the Transport Policies and Programmes (TPP) bids. These are currently being assessed and details of the settlement are likely to be announced in December. It is expected that bids for 2000–01 will be submitted in July 1999.
