Ms Hewitt

The information requested falls within the responsibility of the Director of the Office for National Statistics. I have asked him to reply.

Letter from John Fox to Mr. Phil Woolas, dated 19 October 1998: The Director of the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has been asked to reply to your parliamentary question on abortions by parliamentary constituency. I am replying in his absence. Information on the number of abortions performed on residents of each parliamentary constituency is not readily available and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
