HC Deb 19 November 1998 vol 319 cc720-1W
Mr. Corbyn

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what the daily cost is of keeping non-RAF planes on stand-by for foreign Governments at RAF Brize Norton. [60462]

Mr. Spellar

Except in circumstances where reciprocal arrangements exist, aircraft of a foreign government making use of any MOD airfield, including RAF Brize Norton, are normally required to pay appropriate landing, parking, and handling fees, and to meet the full costs of any additional support required, thus avoiding any direct costs falling to my Department.
