§ Mr. Milburn[holding answer 18 November 1998]: Information is not centrally held on individual payments to National Health Service staff or the number of NHS staff who could benefit from them.
Guidance on Department of Health pay arrangements is set out in the booklet "DH Pay Arrangements—Guidance for Managers and Staff". All staff at NHS Executive Regional Offices receive performance related pay, except Senior Civil Servants, who have separate arrangements. In North Thames Regional Office, for 1997–98, 110 members of staff received pay awards.
