To ask the Minister of State, Lord Chancellor's Department how many high court judges he has appointed who are(a) Asian and (b) black. [60327]

As at 1 November 1998 there were 98 High Court Judges. No Asian or black judges have been appointed to the High Court Bench either before or after May 1997.
