Economic Advisers from the Department for International Development monitor economic events in the following major partner countries:

Africa

  • Kenya
  • Uganda
  • Tanzania
  • Nigeria
  • Ghana
  • Zimbabwe
  • Zambia
  • Malawi
  • Mozambique
  • South Africa

Asia

  • India
  • Pakistan
  • Bangladesh
  • China
  • Nepal

Latin America and the Caribbean

  • Montserrat

Eastern Europe and Former Soviet Union (shared monitoring with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office)

  • Russia
  • Ukraine
  • Poland.

Economic Advisers also monitor a number of developing countries which are not our major partners but where there is DFID involvement. These include countries in the Caribbean and Latin America, other Overseas Dependent Territories, countries in the Former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe and other countries in Africa and Asia.
