§ Mr. SpellarThe Local Liaison Committee was set up in 1993 to provide a means by which the Atomic Weapons Establishment, AWE, could discuss with representatives of local authorities matters of community interest and concern relating to AWE's operation. County, District, Town and parish Councils within AWE's local area are invited to be represented on the Committee. The Councils represented are:
