Under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 (RIDDOR 95) these types of incidents are reportable to the Health and Safety Executive's Railway Inspectorate only if damage is caused to the train necessitating immediate temporary or permanent repair.
