§ Mr. MitchellTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department which treaty articles, subsequent to the coming into force of the Treaty of Amsterdam, will provide powers enabling officials of the Government to(a) question, (b) examine the belongings of, (c) search and (d) detain any persons possessing documents purporting to show that they are citizens of (i) the European Union and (ii) a state being part of the European Economic Area.
