§ Mr. MealeNone. The assessment of the suitability of using reed beds as a means of filtering manufacturing effluent is essentially for the industry or body concerned. Monitoring of effluent treated in this way is a matter for the sewerage undertaker or the Environment Agency depending upon where it is eventually discharged.
