To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make a statement on the Government's proposed Public Service Agreements. [58928]

Mr. Byers

As was made clear at the time of the announcement of the outcome of the Comprehensive Spending Review the Government place great importance on the public service agreements. The agreements will set out clear objectives, performance and efficiency targets for public services. They will be published next month.
