HC Deb 18 November 1998 vol 319 c582W
Mr. Matthew Taylor

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what estimate he has made of the distance from St. Kilda that the protected seabird populations of gannets, fulmars, puffins, Leach's petrels, Storm petrels and Manx shearwaters feed. [59375]

Mr. Macdonald

I am advised by Scottish Natural Heritage that most birds from St. Kilda feed within 55km of the islands during the breeding season. They range throughout the Atlantic at other times of the year.
