§ Dr. Jack Cunningham
The role of the Government Information and Communication Service is to communicate information about the policies and actions of the Government of the day. It does so through the media and through paid publicity campaigns, conducted in an economic and appropriate way, having regard to the need to be able to justify the costs as expenditure of public funds.
