To ask the Prime Minister if he will make a statement about the forthcoming vacancy on the Committee on Standards in Public Life. [60726]

§ The Prime Minister
I am pleased to announce that Professor Alice Brown has accepted my invitation to serve as a member of the Committee on Standards in Public Life in succession to Professor Anthony King who stood down from the Committee at the end of October.
I should like to take this opportunity to thank Professor King for his valuable contribution to the work of the Committee over the past four years.
