HC Deb 16 November 1998 vol 319 c326W
Mr. Key

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will place in the Library a copy of the memorandum of understanding between his Department and the Child Support Agency relating to pay and allowances taken into account in determining CSA settlements. [59428]

Mr. Doug Henderson

[holding answer 12 November 1998]: The Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Defence and the Child Support Agency is an inter-Departmental internal working document which determines the administrative procedures to be followed by the two Departments when an absent parent is a serving or former member of the Armed Forces. The Memorandum does not cover any financial issues regarding pay and allowances taken into account in determining CSA settlements; policy for which rests with the CSA. A copy of the latest version of the Memorandum will be placed in the Library.
