§ The Lord Privy Seal (Baroness Jay of Paddington)The Government have today published a White Paper entitledThe Scrutiny of European Business (Cm 4095). This document confirms the Government's commitment to effective scrutiny by Parliament of business across all three pillars of European Union activity, and sets out the key elements for an enhanced system. The Government hope that the new arrangements can be introduced from the beginning of the next Parliamentary Session.
