To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport what meetings have taken place of(a) the Action Committee and (b) the Film Finance Forum in respect of the film industry. [58485]

The Film Policy Action Committee has met three times since it was set up in April 1998 to oversee the implementation of the recommendations made in the document "A Bigger Picture". It is due to meet again on 25 November 1998.

We expect to make an announcement regarding the establishment of the Film Finance Forum shortly.
