The Attorney-GeneralIt is the practice that I am informed (but not usually consulted about) any case involving a Member of Parliament under consideration by the Crown Prosecution Service. I have not been informed of any such case in the recent past but on two occasions the Crown Prosecution Service raised with my officials concerns about the possible impact of publicity on a criminal case. It is my policy not to give details of discussions about individual cases.
