§ Mr. RaynsfordLocal authorities are required to charge a reasonable fee which does not exceed the maximum specified by the Secretary of State. This maximum is £80 per property under a notification registration scheme, and £60 per habitable room under a registration scheme with control provisions. Information on the levels set by authorities who have introduced schemes is not held centrally.
