§ Mr. FatchettDr. David Drewry resigned from his post as Director-General of the British Council having successfully completed a review of the Council's purpose and strategy. I understand that he saw this as an opportune time to return to his interest in academia. There is no letter of resignation: Dr. Drewry communicated his intention to resign orally in a private meeting with the Chair of the British Council, Baroness Helena Kennedy.
