§ Mr. BoatengAs of 6 November, 85 young people had been sentenced to a secure training order. There are currently 7 trainees in local authority secure accommodation for whom no places are available for them at present.

§ Mr. BoatengThe following range of offences have been committed by young people sentenced to a secure training order:
- Affray
- Arson
- Aggravated vehicle taking
- Attempted theft of motor vehicle
- Burglary
- Causing unnecessary suffering to an animal
- Common assault
- Criminal damage
- Dangerous driving
- Driving while disqualified
- Indecent assault
- No driving licence
- Obtaining property by deception
- Possession of a knife
- Possession of drugs
- Taking without the owner's consent
- Theft
- Violent disorder.
