HL Deb 09 November 1998 vol 594 cc73-4WA
Lord Lester of Herne Hill

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will introduce measures to make religious discrimination unlawful not only in Northern Ireland but also in Great Britain. [HL3656]

Lord Williams of Mostyn

The Government are alive to concerns about religious discrimination and are to commission research into the nature and extent of religious discrimination in Great Britain. The results will help to inform our thinking in this area and the process of deciding what action, if any, should be taken.
