§ Mr. BattleThe Fossil Fuel Levy Act which came into effect on 1 April 1998 ensured that electricity supplied from nuclear sources continued to be subject to the Fossil Fuel Levy. From 1 April all of the proceeds from the Fossil Fuel Levy have been used for the support of generation of electricity from renewable sources. I have no plans to use the levy for other purposes.
