§ Mr. MilburnThe White Paper "The new NHS—Modern, Dependable" made it clear that the National Health Service has to be underpinned by modern information technology. Together with leaders from the clinical professions, we launched our £1 billion strategy for achieving this on 24 September 1998. Entitled Information for Health, our strategy will support the many important actions that need to be taken between now and 2005. Copies of the strategy are available in the Library.
