§ Mr. FatchettWe are concerned at reports of an increase in the number of Indonesian troops in East Timor. I raised our concerns at troop levels with President34W Habibie and Foreign Minister Alatas in Jakarta last month. We endorse the UN Secretary-General's recent call for a substantial reduction in the Indonesian military presence in the territory.
