§ Dr. Howells[holding answer 5 November 1998]My Department has received a number of representations from consumers about unacceptable practices in doorstep selling. The DTI recently consulted on proposals to strengthen consumer protection in this area. I hope to make Regulations by the end of the year to implement these proposals.
