§ Mr. Charles ClarkeIn October 1996 the Department published Circular 14/96, "Supporting Pupils With Medical Needs in School", in conjunction with the Department of Health. This summarised the main legal provisions that affect schools' responsibilities for managing pupils' medical needs. At the same time, the Department also published "Supporting Pupils With Medical Needs: A Good Practice Guide", which includes sections dealing specifically with asthma and anaphylaxis. Both publications are available in the House of Commons Library.
