asked Her Majesty's Government:

What were the number of recruits to the Regular Army for each of the three years 1995, 1996 and 1997; and what were the numbers of recruits (a) who are serving, or who have served, in the Territorial Army (b) who are, or who have been, members of the cadet forces; and (c) who during those years have left the Regular Army within two years of recruitment.
